MEET OUR 5 GRANT AWARDEES AND OUR FIRST LA BORINQUEÑA HEROÍNA DE LAS ARTES

This August 24, 2019 we honored five local grassroots organizations in Puerto RIco: Asociación Mayagüezana de Personas con Impedimentos - AMPI, El Departamento De La Comida, Corredor Afro, Centro MAM- Mujeres Ayudando Madres Inc., and CORALations. This year we also honored ILE as our first 'Heroína de las Artes' and she donated her grant to Coordinadora Paz para la Mujer, Inc.. We closed our ceremony with a live performance by Majestad Negra! We want to thank Mayor Carmen Yulín Crúz of Municipio Autónomo de San Juan and United for their support of our 2nd Annual La Borinqueña Awards Ceremony at the Biblioteca Carnegie in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
